Shovel Master: Surprises in the Snow

Developed for Yogscast Games Jam 2020.

This short game has you finding presents underneath a thick layer of snow. You have two tools at your disposal: a metal detector and a shovel. Use the detector to locate the presents then dig down to grab them. The game ends when you've found all six.

The detector beeps faster when you're closer to a present, and at a higher pitch for more valuable presents.

Controls:

WASD	Move
Mouse	Look
Mouse Wheel	Switch tool (Metal detector or Shovel)
Mouse Click (with shovel selected)	Dig
E	Pick up present
Esc	Quit

Game Jam Modifiers:

Xephos and Honeydew (Make a game that involves digging! Don’t dig too deep though!) - Digging is a main mechanic!
Landlord's Super (Your character can drink a nice, cold pint) - One of the presents is a nice refreshing beer?
Sips (Use at least 1 mechanic from Dude Sim: Alaska) - Shovelling snow out of your yard is definitely a thing in Dude Sim.
